VITRALUX utilizes for the facades, doors and windows only first-class profiles that are made of at least 75 % recycled end-of-life-aluminium. The target for the next years is to reach the 100 % recycled aluminium. Aluminium is the third most element on earth and its lifetime is extreme high – about 75 % of the ever produced aluminium is still in use today. The partner of VITRALUX for the aluminium profile acts strictly in accordance to the circular economy “cradle to cradle” and is also certified.

In addition, VITRALUX uses insulation bars that are made 100 % of recycled polyamide. VITRALUX thereby makes a great contribution to a positive environmental balance – the use of sustainable and recycled material with a low C0² footprint contributes to a reduction of the global emission. In fact, all materials of a facade or a window from VITRALUX can be recycled to nearly 100% and reused in the circular economy after the removal on site: from the glass to the aluminium profiles and even the insulation bars.

Aluminium is easy to maintain and has an enormous long life-cycle: there is no need for protection against mould or corrosion nor is there any need for repainting of the surface and finishing of the profiles. Therefore, is aluminium an ideal material for a sustainable method of construction, from the production of raw materials to the recycling.

Especially for large-scale glazing are aluminium profiles the ideal solution concerning the stability, longevity, aesthetic and thermal insulation. The aluminium profiles used by VITRALUX reach a high thermal insulation which is comparable to other insulated materials solutions if not even better. In addition, aluminium profiles are ideal if a high sound proof or a high burglar resistance is requested.

With the glazing solutions from VITRALUX the buildings are gaining more comfort with light flooded spaces. It is scientifically proven that natural light is crucial for the stress relieve, strength recovery and happiness and contributes in a significant way to the healthiness in life.
